FUZHOU, Jan. 12 (Xinhuanet) -- The city hospital in Shaowu, southeast China's Fujian Province, said Thursday that it has contracted with an American service provider for improving management.
According to the five year-long contract, the hospital will pay the Aramark-Guanghua (China) Company Ltd. 1.2 million yuan (150,000 million U.S. dollars) annually for housekeeping, facilities operation and maintenance and logistics services.
It is the first time that a hospital in economically-underdeveloped north Fujian cooperates with a foreign company for management services.
"We spend a lot for the cooperation with a view to improving our medical service, attracting more patients and promoting the overall management," said Huang Jianwu, an official with the hospital.
Aramark, a global leader in medical, educational and industrial management services, consistently ranks in the top five in its industry in the Fortune 500 survey.
Aramark, with affiliates and 200,000 employees in 45 countries and regions, serves 15 million people around the world everyday.
Since its entry into China in 1999, Aramark has provided internationalized management services to about 100 hospitals in 20 cities including Beijing, Shanghai and Guangdong. Enditem
